What are Double HUng Windows?

Double hung windows offer a unique and versatile design that enables two glass panes, also called sashes, to vertically slide over one another. Both the top and bottom sash have the ability to be slid open or closed simultaneously, meaning you can have the open part of the window at the top or the bottom depending on your preference.

Great for allowing warm air to be expelled through the top and cool air to flow in through the bottom, double hung windows differ from a single-hung window that only lets one sash slide and allows air from only one part of the window.
